The recently opened second location of Compartes Chocolatier, on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, is an amazing space to pick up some beautiful sweets, treats and gifts. Created by Jonathan Grahm, named one of Forbes “30 Under 30”, Compartes is known for over 100+ varieties of gourmet chocolates, made in their Los Angeles chocolate shop. Jonathan is known as one of the most famous and prolific chocolatiers in the country for his gourmet luxury chocolates, chocolate truffles, chocolate bars and salted chocolate delights.

The Compartes interior, designed by AAmp Studio, has an amazing triangular black and white tile design featuring our Caribbean Diagonal handmade cement tile pattern. The modern space is unlike any chocolate store you’ve ever seen featuring walls of chocolate bars displayed invitingly.

Moderno Tacos + Tex Mex – Houston, TX

Modeled after the great bars and restaurants in the Mexican border cities close to Texas, Moderno Tacos + Tex Mex in Houston offers classic Tex-Mex with a modern twist. Favorites are the enchilados and tacos, but Moderno also offers great margaritas for a fully authentic meal.

Moderno has a cool vibe with re-purposed wood paneling, amazing walls incorporating old bottles, and of course beautiful cement tile. With so much to look at and eat what’s not to like?

Our in stock Borgo Alegri cement tile, created by designer Anna Burrous, was used to add a pop of color a fun vibe to the space. We are bias, but we think it really hits the mark!

Flying Goat Coffee – Santa Rosa, CA

Flying Goat Coffee has a commitment to finding and roasting great coffee. The goal, from the first day they started roasting coffee has been to find the best coffees in the world, grown by people who care not only for the crop they grow, but also for the people, animals and land around them. Customers agree with this philosophy, with the 3 locations in Healdsburg and Santa Rosa constantly getting great reviews.

The Santa Rosa location, in the old Western Hotel building, was built at the turn of the century by Italian stonemasons. The shop looks amazing and we are excited that our Circulos White cement tile pattern was used throughout.

We are lucky enough to have received some great press recently!

Our cement tile continues to get great media exposure. Some great articles and blog posts featuring our handmade cement tiles have been been posted on the web recently by Apartment Therapy and Curbly. These photos and articles using our tile in several beautiful renovations are stunning!

We are also excited to have our tile featured in two recent magazines.

In the September issue of Coastal Living our in-stock Circulos Blue pattern was featured. The article focused on “Beachy, Blue Decor” with beautiful blue accents for a beach house.

The November issue of Country Living features our soon to be in-stock Amalia Black pattern. Our cement tile is featured in the “Get the look” section of a beautiful California bungalow tour.

Il Tavolino – Kelowna, British Columbia

Inspired by an Italian street of cafes and restaurants filled with tavolinos (small tables), the owners of Il Tavolino in Kelowna, British Columbia wanted a place where people could gather at these little tables to share in life, meet to laugh and of course meet to eat.

The newly opened bistro has a small, focused menu that specializes in paninis, lasagna, meatballs, gelato and cappuccino. The restaurant, a collaboration between Maple Interiors and Hatch Interior Design features our Roseton Red pattern on the face of the main counter. The installation was completed by River City Tile.

The handmade cement tile really adds to the authentic feel of the bistro. Hatch Interior Design has a great blog post that explains the inspiration for the space.

Tulum featured on Curbly.com – Portland, Oregon

We are lucky to get some great mentions and posts on interior design, home, or architectural blogs. One of our favorite posts, featured here on Curbly.com, showed the amazing remodel of a bathroom in Portland, Oregon. The Deputy editor of Curbly, Capree Kimball, was pleased to share the pictures of her bathroom makeover and for that we are very thankful!

Capree wanted to gut the existing bathroom, but keep and feature the existing clawfoot tub. She was looking for bold “statement flooring” and fell in love with our Tulum cement tile pattern. The handmade cement tile really coordinates with the tub and the classic white subway wall tile.

Reveille Coffee Co. – San Francisco, CA

Reveille Coffee Co. in San Francisco, California recently opened a brick and mortar location as a companion to their Financial District coffee truck. The cafe, by brothers Christopher and Tommy Newbury, offers ample seating, a front patio and a food offering that adds dinner options to the already-established breakfast and lunch menus.

Our Circulos White pattern was used to create a refreshing, warm, welcoming look to the popular coffee shop. This classic handmade cement tile color combination is in-stock in both 8″ x 8 (as pictured) and 12″ x 12″ sizes and is ready to ship. Chevron Cement Tile – Jackson, WY

Who doesn’t love a great zig-zag pattern?

We were thrilled to receive a picture from a customer in Jackson, Wyoming of our Chevron Black pattern. It was used to take the look of their utility room to a whole new level. We wouldn’t even mind doing laundry in this space (did I just say that???).

The chevron pattern has become an increasingly popular design and accent feature in decorating the last few years, but this use of our handmade cement tile on the floor really stands out.

The chevron tile pattern can be customized in any colors of your choice although the black/white and sage/white (see below picture by Nicole Chouinard Color and Design ) color options are in stock and ready to ship.

The pattern also takes on a whole new look when more colors are added. Check out our Chevron Multi pattern.

Large Format Cement Tiles – In Stock

Now in stock! – our large format (12″ x 12″) cement tiles in our popular Circulos Black and Circulos White patterns, as well as solid black and solid white field tiles.

Although handmade cement tiles are traditionally 8″ x 8″ (20cm x 20cm), we are thrilled that we can now offer in-stock tile in a larger 12″ x 12″ size (30cm x 30cm).

These tiles should prove to be extremely popular in commercial applications, but would also look great in residential installations.
