Javelina Tex Mex – New York, NY

Javelina Tex Mex has opened to rave reviews in New York City. Not only is the food making headlines but the distinctive look has given the restaurant an amazing and unique personality.

Named after a wild pig (the restaurant’s mascot) Javelina focuses on Tex Mex comfort food. The fajitas, tacos, guacamole and signature Queso are crowd favorites.

The restaurant space, designed by Joel Mozersky Design, incorporates our Tulum handmade cement tile pattern throughout and really ties together the signature look. The beautiful restaurant facade, along with the bar, feature wall and serving counter all use the tile to make a stunning visual impact.

Tulum Pattern – Amber Thrane

We just love the home of Amber Thrane, co-owner of Dulcet Creative – a company that focuses on styling, photography, branding and creative direction.

The eclectic California home, as featured on Glitter Guide, is full of charming features and inexpensive finds that are pulled together to create a cohesive, cozy home. Amber and her husband have done an amazing job by doing most renovations themselves and truly making their remodel a personal experience. If they can’t find what they love, they usually end up creating it!

We love the use of our in stock Tulum cement tile pattern in the atrium. It is a bright, airy space and the striking black and white tile, an old fireplace, plus a few personal touches and some greenery make it an ideal place to hang out!

One Room Challenge – Christine Dovey

The One Room Challenge is a yearly room makeover event where 20 home-design bloggers are challenged to make over a space and show the process over six weeks. The challenge is a great event to keep an eye on as it leads to many interesting design and style ideas in varied spaces of the home.

In the most recent Challenge, designer Christine Dovey based in Oakville, Ontario used our Tulum tile pattern as part of her amazing bathroom remodel. The old bathroom was gutted and new tile, paint and fixtures completely transformed the space. I think you’ll find the reveal just as beautiful as we do…and all in 6 weeks!

Tulum featured on Curbly.com – Portland, Oregon

We are lucky to get some great mentions and posts on interior design, home, or architectural blogs. One of our favorite posts, featured here on Curbly.com, showed the amazing remodel of a bathroom in Portland, Oregon. The Deputy editor of Curbly, Capree Kimball, was pleased to share the pictures of her bathroom makeover and for that we are very thankful!

Capree wanted to gut the existing bathroom, but keep and feature the existing clawfoot tub. She was looking for bold “statement flooring” and fell in love with our Tulum cement tile pattern. The handmade cement tile really coordinates with the tub and the classic white subway wall tile.

The design team at Hannah Maple Studio, based in Lexington, designed the boutique. Hannah Maple is a purveyor of one-of-a-kind furnishings, artwork, and curiosities. Hannah brings life to her spaces with a warm, unexpected, well-tailored, and enthralling design approach.

Our Tulum cement tile pattern was chosen to make a bold statement at the entrance to the store. We love how the handmade cement tile clearly defines the space. The boutique has a refined, rustic, industrial feel that’s gender neutral, but warm and welcoming…and still southern. The finished look is stunning.
